100€ is a low price of a corset. Can you buy the material by that?

The Ark is a fiction and been stranded, the Titanic was real and sink.

I normally buy materials for about € 60. Dunno how much Joyce has to pay for that. But I agree, the price is low considering how good the workmanship is.

The point is: The Ark served its purpose, the Titanic didn't. It just proves that not all amateurs are idiots and that not all professionals are geniuses - and that people should dare start a big project, even though self-proclaimed experts tell them that they can't do it because they're not professionals.

aaahhhh someone (so called expert) telling me I *can't* is why I have done many things that I have successfully accomplished.

*lol* Dunno Tori... but people kept telling me I couldn't do certain things (like get better grades in maths by switching to a different school, learning how to repair computers etc etc... I still did because I thought giving it a try could be no harm.

Too many people let others tell them what they are able to do and what they shouldn't even try and chose their "projects" according to other people's judgement. That was what I meant to say.

Nicole, I do agree with you on this.  We are only limited by ourselves.....darn, now I have to take a pattern drafting class so I stop limiting myself to only using patterns from others.

Why did you suspect something bad on my sale? did you read the description? this is a summer corset, it is made quickly, and has one layer only wihtout busk. I used only 50 cm of coutil to make that. And this is a ready made not a custom. I never claim to be a profesionnal corset maker, I just have a registered business and I make corsets, thats all. I learned by myself and I have a designer diploma.

Hi, lescarpolette. I think people are mixing channels there!

That "professionals" talk is only Asenath's signature, that haabet decided to comment in the same topic! No one is saying you are not professional! (on the contrary, I think the majority of us, me included, think your work is fantastic!)

The main question (from haabet) was: is it possible to sell a corset for €100  and still have some profit? That I think you answered very well: it's a single-layer corset, and a ready-made one. I myself have bought double-layered corsets for less than that, so I don't think your price is "too low" or that you are selling low-quality corsets for low prices. As I said, people mixed channels.

My compliments for your excellent work! ;-)

Thank you I ask to some native english speaker yesterday who told me I certainly misunderstood something and they were talking about something out of subject. I was in very bad humor yesterday and take everything for me, apologizes to everybody. I made around 50€ for this one, no busk and only 50 cm of fabric, no time to draft, it is fastly made for me.
