“The English Governess”

Are you looking for a strict English Governess for corset- & figure-training or advice?

I am the “English Governess”, Marianne Dupont* and one of my professions is corset-consultant/corset-trainer. I am a very strict corset-disciplinarian for corset- & figure-training. As corset-trainer I am available for genetic women only!

Since June, 2nd  2006 I have my own brand new Yahoo! corset group “Corset Trainer”: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Corset-Trainer

For all your personal questions, please contact me by E-mail at: corsetdisciplinarian@yahoo.com or Yahoo! Messenger. Of course you can also make an appointment for a chat-session to see how I can help YOU? I am very sure that strict corset discipline 23/7 can be the manner to get the smaller waist, where you are looking forward for so long? I am also coach/counsellor for despairing mothers of recalcitrant waist trainees. If you need I can make a suitable training-schedule for you and/or your daughter(s).

In extreme cases the “Double Lacing Method” or/and together with a lockable dress- or corset-belt (made of stainless steel), can be very helpful tools for forced corset training for your reluctant young daughter(s), and/or perhaps for yourself? For the “Double Lacing Method” you need a partner on location to help you, this can be your husband, mother, or any another friend who you can trust.

“The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine” naively wrote that “tight lacing produces delicious sensations, half pleasure and half pain”. In an age of heightened prudery, the corset was in fact a socially acceptable method of self titillation! It was also an acceptable method of torture; many of the trappings of this obsession with waist reduction would not be out of place in a modern dungeon; an extra long and tight corset was a favorite method of disciplining recalcitrant young girls. The unfortunate young girl being “figure trained” hung onto an overhead bar while mother and maid hauled on the laces.

“The corset is always been the foundation of beauty”,

With kindest regards,

“The English Governess”

Miss Marianne Dupont*

The definition of tightlacing is pretty obvious to me. But what exactly should I think of when hearing 'corset training'. Because, how impressive and stunning it can be, tightlacing isn't just my thing.

Hi "fixers",

It is not easy to explain the differences between the terms "Figure-training", "Waist training", "Corset training" and "Tight Lacing", but I will do a try.

In my vision is:

Figure training: To get a slender figure? Then you need a diet and visiting a sport school to do a lot of exercises.

Waist training: Is possible with a simple short corset like a "riding corset".

Corset training: For a waist reduction of 4-8 inches? This is only possible with a made by measure corset.

Tight Lacing: Is a LIFESTYLE for that you need to wear your made by measure corset at least 23/7. Especially for waist reductions of 8 inches or MORE!!

As I said before this is my personal vision, perhaps I am wrong?

Interesting question indeed.

I also thought that figure training doesn't mean wearing a corset.

But I am not sure about the difference between waist training and corset training, I thought it was the same:
More or less regular wear of either custom or standard-sized corsets.

I'd say tightlacing is the 23/7 lifestyle Tara already mentioned, which is normally persued to get a REALLY dramatic waist reduction. I wouldn't count the inches though.

Are you a novice in the field of corset training? You are looking for a trainer, or do you need some help or advise?

I am available to discuss with you about  your figure-training, waist-training, corset-training, tight-lacing and other corset disciplines.

Corset use most is change in breathing,
and extend of chest and lungs.

Tight-lacing is a higher stage of in corset use not
a separate discipline.

Corset use is only one discipline.

Am I the only one disturbed by this? Forcing corset training on unwilling minors? Sounds like a form of abuse to me.

Can you edit that post and at the top put: The Corset College does NOT promote nor believe in the actions of this poster.  This poster has been removed because of post like this.  This post remains as a reminder of the type actions we do not tolerate here at The Corset College.

Or something along that line.

If you delete it, references to it don't make sense.

Just my opinion

We are a group of people who make and/or wear and/or train in corsets so we can't be totally sane  ;-)

Now to get motivated again and get back to corset making....I so want a new one for myself and to start wearing them again.
