it's strange thou, how addictive it can be.
has this any thing to to with when you hurt youreself your body makes some kinde of substans wich is addictive?
could your body do the same when wearing a corset? cuz I found my self pretty longing to wearing one again, in the past few weeks.

Anyways,I'll see how it turns out. this weekend i'll start wearing one again for some pictures i have to make.

thanks for your reaction, Jen.

The ribs are also among the last bones to mature as one reaches adulthood.
Together with a few of the wrist and ankle bones, the ribs are only fully calcified by the early to mid twenties

It is indeed somewhat addictive, though I think it's more psychological than physiological.

There have been some speculations as to how a corset could be addictive, though their validity is questionable. I just think that one gets used to it, to have that snug feeling around the torso, to see that eye-popping figure in the mirror. The fact that one feels prettier with one on also figures in the equation, because self-esteem is boosted, and with us ladies, that is very important.

For me, it just feels wrong to be without a corset. Mine are very stiff and tight so the absence of a corset is even more noticeable. When I move my body does strange movements (in a relative sense, of course, not "strange" in the sense of abnormal) that I am no longer familiar with because I am tightlaced almost all the time. It's like having a limb in a cast for several weeks and then having the cast removed.

Hi there again.
I thought I might give you a little update about how things are working out for me.
As said, I have stopped wearing corsets for about 2 and a half months now. (It was very hard to resist, but I've managed) This was to see how my ribs would evolve. I've started wearing corsets again. (Due to a new corset I recently bought, wich was a lot smaller then my previous ones) I've worn it for some time, but found it a bit painfull to do, that plus I had these stomach aches when I removed the corset again. Maybe this is because my body wasn't used of being squeezed in so tightly anymore. So I started wearing my older (and bigger) corsets, un till I could wear them without any pain. Now I am able to wear my new corset almost completely closed, and without rib pains. Well atleast, I have had some serieus rib problems again, thou i wasn't completly sure if this was due to the corset, or due to some gymm lessons in school (those were so painfull!!)

Well atleast I'll see how it evolves. (ps : I'm ever so happy with my newest corset, it's such a pearl! I'll provide you of pictures later)

Well, I'm glad to see that it's working out for you, and congratulate you on your will power!

It's always better to go for a looser corset when returning to corsets after a hiatus. If I were to stop for a while, I would dig out one of my old corsets and spruce it up again, just to get used to it. I certainly wouldn't go straight for the one I'm wearing now!

Be careful, and go easy.

Jennifer.
