Subject: Hello there!
Just joined . . . I make and wear corsets (mostly just for special occasions), though I'm still relatively newbish to both. I go to art school, and though I don't major in textiles, I do plenty of sewing on the side. I've finished a few corsets recently, though I've yet to photograph them, so I guess I'll be putting up photos of those when I can.

I really like the creative side of corsetry -- pairing interesting colors, using interesting cotton prints, that kind of stuff. And I love the process of corsetmaking.

I'm in the middle of making a silk dupion overbust corset right now, though I rather frustratingly can't work on it at the moment since I'm in the process of packing up to go home for the summer. But I'm quite hopeful about how it will look when finished, once I get back to it.

Welcome, Kamaro!  :-)

Good to see someone else who makes their own corsets!  I agree that the process of making a corset is very enjoyable and stimulates the creative mind.

Hi and welcome-

I too make my own corsets so it will be nice to have another corsetmaker in the mix.  :)  Look forward to your posts and your photos when you can get to them.
