Textilene should be a lot stronger than the flyscreen I tested because the core is an actual polyester thread, not at all like the flimsy little fuzz in the flyscreen's core. I suspect it would perform much better in the stress test.
As for the better deal, the one I bought costs $9 a meter, retail. There are others that are heavier and cost up to $14 a meter. The fabric store I went to has three or four outlets and buys in quantity, plus I have the 20% discount for being a member ($20 a year, more than paid back in one or two purchases). The first link you gave seems to be a wholesale outlet, and their prices are reasonable if scaled down to normal retail quantities (not 300 feet!). The second link has outrageous prices, even for a retail outlet.
