Subject: Meschantes?
I am planning on buying my first custom corset this month. I was considering having it made by Meschantes. Does anyone have any experience with them? I would like to purchase a good quality under-bust training corset, but I am on a budget. Meschantes charges $189.00, so it is within my price range. However, I am concerned that I may regret the purchase, since I have not been able to find much information on them other than on their website. Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I have not ordered from them myself but for years I have heard horror stories about them mixed with people who is happy in different corset groups on yahoo and forums etc.
Read this and also look at the links given in the middle of the page for more information.

Wasp Creations is the most recommend Corsetmaker, today.

From olddays I have only one recommend corset the Invigorator Corset, and the only recommended Corsetmaker from old days was madame Caplin?, who invent the corset. A doctor say: "Madame, your corset is more like a new layer of muscles than an artificial extraneous article of dress!"

A general mistake is as the bone in the back is to straight. They have need of more curves, for diagonal stiffness.

Sad to to say, I also have had less succefull experience with Meschantes. Their ready-made corset can be ok, allthough I don't like the shape the have at the waist, but I haven't had succes with their custom made corsets. The custom made corsets simply weren't made to the provided measurements.

And as for Peter O, please disregard his posts. He like to tell people of what he THINKS is the best corset. Wasp Creations is a good custom corset maker though.

As boring as it may sound, you might find that a readymade corset, can be quite fine as a first corset, if money is important. You will gain a lot of experience from wearing your first corset, and you will soon need a new corset anyway, if you continue to wear corsets.

One possibility might be the "fundamental line" from Romantasy. Inexpensive and fairly plain, but they may suit your needs.

Subject: Thank you....
I sincerely appreciate the responses.....after considering my options, I believe I should pay a bit more for a corset from Romantacy's fundamental line......Thanks Andy! It will be a bit more expensive, but I will probably regret it if I try to save money by going with Meschantes. After all, I plan on wearing this corset full time, I am going to need to LOVE it!
