Subject: Wonderful forum!
Greetings! I am very happy to have stumbled upon this wonderful forum. I am planning to embark on a journey of waist training and I am thrilled to see that I am far from alone in my endevour. I am a 32 year old mother of five, so my waist has become something of a distant memory. While I have no delusions that I will somehow attain the body I once possessed, I am rather curious to see what changes ARE possible with the proper discipline. My current measurements are 44-34-43, my hope is to one day achieve a corsetted waist measurement of 26". I plan on purchasing my first corset next week with a closed measurement of 28", I am sure I will not be able to close it for a awhile, but I will be excited at the prospect of working towards that goal.

Welcome to the forums :) I am currently new as well. I just ordered my first corset yesterday! Cant wait to try it on! Looks like we will be taking this one someone together :) Stay Safe.

Welcome to the forum, Annalisa!  :-)  :-)

While I wouldn't advise you to overestimate your capacities to reduce, don't be surprised how much can change. I started at age 42, and managed to go from 38 down to 22 inches, losing 45-50 pounds in the process, in two years.

Patience, discipline, perseverance. Listen to your body's signals, start slow, a few hours a day, a couple of inches of reduction at first and gradually work yourself up as you feel comfortable. And we're all here to help you if you need advice or have questions.

In my case, all my corsets are by my own hands. My first was back in 1999, but I only started tightlacing seriously in January 2006.

I went through Isabella corestry. I really liked there selection and heard they did good work. I will let you know how well they really did when I get it :)
