Subject: Good Evening
Hello, I'm Amaris.

I joined a few days ago, after finding this site to reference corsetry on the various other forums I belong to. I love corsets, and I am very interested in closely-controlled body modification. I started wearing corsets for renaissance faires, then realized that wearing corsets relieved my back pain. Upon researching online about the benefits for corsetry for people with cronic back pain, I have decided to buy a corset strictly for back support. It will still look nice, of course. Find one that will be cost efficient and at the same time meet my requirements will be interesting. Anyhoo. Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome to the forum!  :-)

A corset will do wonders for your back, even protect it. I wear corsets for waist reduction, but I found out that shoveling snow is much easier with a corset on.

Indeed! Where do you live? Peru? Nepal? High up in the Rockies? Tibet? Mount Kilimanjaro?

I agree that going from near sea level (145 feet for me) up to 9000 feet in one shot would be a strain on the respiratory system whilst shoveling snow, it would still be so without a corset.

However I disagree on another point. Heavy physical labor can be effected at altitude provided the body has time to acclimate itself. The proof is standing in the Andes in Peru.
