Subject: Has anyone used a lacing belt?
I'm contemplating the purchase of one of these belts, and am curious if anyone has found them useful and comfortable.

I tightlace 23/7 since several years but started with a belt. My belt was not a special belt I used a wider leatherbelt  I already had at home and made new holes when it was needed.  I had my belt on first when I waited for my custom made corset to arrive when I had decided I wanted to waisttrain. When I got my new corset I still used my belt sometimes (alway under my clothes because it was not pretty looking with all the new holes closely together but worked good). I had the belt on while driving it took me some time to learn and feel comfortable to drive in a corset. I also sit on a hard little pillow to not sink down in the seat while driving. I also used the belt while sleeping the first month while I got used to wearing the corset 23/7.
I think it is a good idea to use a belt anytime you can not wear a corset for some reason if you really want to get a smaller waist but it should not be insted of a corset for any longer time.

I found the belt to useful for me in the beginning and mostly comfortable but it is not the same as wearing a corset. A custom made corset is more comfortable.

Do read the information text about starting to train with a belt.

Tried belts with one lacee. She used them while sleeping at night. Didn't work satisfactory.
The difference between corsetting and wearing the belt was substantial. The sensation of the more complete "coverage" of the corset was more "plesant" and in some way, the belt made the tummy bulge in an unattractive way.

The best use of belts - wide belts, are to be worn over a corset to emphasize the figure, or for curious and propect lacees to get some idea of restriction, when they don't have access to a real corset.

I agree with corsetmaster. A belt doesn't give the overall shaping effect that a real corset does. A belt just squeezes the midriff (uncomfortably in my opinion). A corset is more pleasant, true, and more comfortable in general because of the extended support and compression.
