Subject: What's up?
I cannot believe there is absolutely nothing happening in the world of corsetry worth mentioning here!
This forum has been way too quiet lately  :-(

I have been having TOO much life taking care of my husband (putting him on home dialysis) and having my daughter and grandson move in with me.  I do have 3 commissions for corsets (1 is a complete outfit) and leather underwear for a man I know, more like a jock strap for his fetish wear. 

Soon I hope to be getting back to my sewing soon so I will have corset pics to show.

Hi all,

I have something on my mind and wonder what´s up with this corsetmaker I have always seen her as talented and interesting.

I see some corsetmakers who use livejournal to sell their corsets. I think it works fine but I wonder how does this seller think.  http://lescarpolette.livejournal.com/
I have enjoyed to look at her photos and information on her livejournal a journal I have always seen as a part of her business not a personal one and now suddenly her journal is friends only.
It does not make sense if she wants to sell corsets.
I mean I do not have a livejournal account and I guess I am not the only one in the world who has an interest in corsets but does not use livejournal myself (or myspace).
I do not either understand friends only who is a friend and who is not.  To me it sounds unfriendly somehow.
I do know she has a website also but she has been posting more photos and information about her corsets on the livejournal making me interested in several of her corsets.

I obviously can't speak for Joyce but I can assure you that for all I know she has good reasons to restrict the readership of her Livejournal at least at the moment.

About Livejournal and "friends only": If you have a Livejournal you can put any other livejournal user on your friends list. Those users then can read your "friends-only" posts but nobody else. You can switch existing posts between "friends-only" , "public", "private" later on as well.

I agree that the "Friends" label for this list can appear rather unfriendly to those on LJ but not on the list and those not on LJ, but it does not necessarily imply hostility on the part of the livejournal owner. In fact most LJs (including mine), will contain entries that are friends only and thus invisible to anybody not on the friends list even if they are not openly declared "friends only"

I do know that Joyce had trouble with someone who was attacking her on livejournal (I won't get into it here)
