Subject: Corset kits comparison
I just discovered the comparison of different corset kits: http://www.farthingales.on.ca/corset_comparison.htm

The corset are all made by the same person, so they are comparable. I assume they are made by Linda Sparks.

There are reviews of many patterns at:

Every kind of patterns is reviewed, not just corset patterns.

The most common beginners corset patterns are:
Laughing Moon Corset Pattern (double layer)
Simplicity 9769 Corset and Underwear (single layer)

These patterns are mentioned by many people, and also in the book Basics Of Corset Building and on the DVD How to Make and Fit a Victorian Corset. Each of the two has weaknesses and advantages. There are many other corset patterns and ways to start corset building.

New people can definitely use these resources and some of us oldies too if we need to use a pattern.
