Subject: Grommets or Eyelets?   and metal lacing tips
I am looking at finding a source for the metal lacing tips (bolo tips
or aguilettes) where we could do a group order and I want to see what
the interest is.

Could you please give me the following information on what you are using?
grommet or eyelet?
what size are you using?
INSIDE diameter?
would you be interested in the metal lacing tips?
if so about how many would you buy and at what price?

Tori

Subject: Cruiser Brand
I use the Cruiser Brand, Brass sail Eyelets & rings. They is 6mm! But they can bear all experiment (and salt water) and the lace run light.

A little smaller Eyelets & rings was perfectly.

Dear Miss Tori,

Always use grommets. Eyelets are to weak, they can jump out of the fabric very easy! Take a look at Wasp Creations to see what Amy Crowder uses These grommets are a bit large, but very strong.

if using lacing bones, most grommets will not fit and there are eyelets that work perfectly and will not pull through because of the lacing bones.  I know quite a few who do this and I think even on tight-lacing corsets.  The corset maker has to be certain to use the 2 part eyelets.  I prefer those with the longer barrel and wider lip.  Several corset makers use them, that is how I found out about them to begin with.
